The Golden Hour Part Two

Having received a troubling vision the previous day while sitting upon her throne. Goth Queen quickly left the large black stoned throne and made her way through her castle to the vast tower like study. Thousands of books, manuscripts, and scrolls were upon being collected; stored here over the many years of its existence. Her steps echoing through the empty halls as she strode through them, while air near her growing ever cold from her dark presence. As Goth Queen approached the large wooden door to the study, she brought up her right hand that held her cane tightly grasped within it. The large heavy wooden door no match for her power, swung open with a loud creak emitting from it. Dust and debris fell to the stoned floor from the frame, an indication this once vibrant place of learning and study was not spared the same empty darkness that had consumed everything else.

Upon entering into the study, Goth Queen closed her eyes for a moment. She raised up her cane and within a few moments an old dust laden book came flying off a nearby shelf towards her. Just as it seemed close to making impact, the book came to a sudden halt. Floating their right in front of her before opening to reveal the contents written within it. With her free hand, Goth Queen gently grasped the spine of the book; her power emitting into it causing the pages to begin to quickly flip to the left. Page after page turned until finally finding what she was looking for, Goth Queen stopped the page turning in an instant.

There before her was a fully written page that described what she had seen in her vision perfectly. It explained that if ever the land of Aethelgard were to fall; the light of the Divine One would seize to shine upon the land. Leading to the cold grip of darkness to consume the land, twisting and corrupting all within it. Though seemingly forsaken and hopeless, the land would still cry out for its return to the light. A possibility as one with a corrupt heart brought forth darkness, and therefore one with a pure heart could vanquish it and return the divine light to the land. Goth Queen slowly lowered the book as she recalled once more her vision.

A man standing before her, his face hidden from her, save from his dark shoulder length hair. He appeared to be a warrior of some sort, as he stood before her bearing armor and a sword. Just like in her vision, she sensed great power coming forth from him, something that actually brought fear to her cold decrepit heart. Blinking her eyes some, while dark laden tears slowly slipped down her cheeks; Goth Queen left her recollection of the vision and returned to the present reality. "I cannot allow this to happen...this is MY kingdom, I shall stop him when he comes." Goth Queen said aloud to herself. Her cold emotionless tone echoing through out the vast study. Almost as if the darkness itself surrounding the empty space within the study was responding in acknowledgement to her decree.
