It is said in the land of Massa, horse riding is a privilege for few as you don’t choose the horse; the horse chooses you. The souls of the rider and horse becoming bonded together in an unbreakable unity. Esyria never imagined she would experience this kind of bond, being a mere servant and bodyguard in her master’s harem. She would spend her evenings dancing in her master’s court and guarding his room, feeling lifeless and void inside. Until the day he purchased a horse and Esyria was tasked with caring for it. One evening when caring for horse in the stables, she looked into his eyes and in that moment his soul chose hers. Knowing her master intended to merely use the horse for a trophy, she could not bare this fate for him and decided to leave her master and head east to a new land, a new life. Esyria rode tirelessly for three days and three nights in the harsh Massan desert, until she was certain her master and his men were out of reach. In that moment Esyria felt free, as she dismounted from her new companion and looked into his eyes. The warm desert winds caressing her face tears of joy came upon her. She never would have had the courage to do what she did if it weren’t for this horse, whom she would call Hasma; meaning "Freedom".
